Mississippi Moon

As the Mississippi summer sun fell onto my skin  I appreciated it all, being under the trees, the shadow of the leaves. Momentarily blocking the sun from time to time Almost as if Mother Nature was protecting my eyes herself. I lay until the moon came, like I knew it would.  So that night I asked the moon, that same night Was it better to be touched too hard? or not at all?  She then spoke, to me only, she then asked me  Where do you think these craters are from? To be touched is to be loved, under all the seasons. Under the sun or the moon, the wrath of love. Will fall, with no doubt, she will fall.

waterless land

I am not afraid to leave home  Even though I will never find the same tree twice  One is rotten and one is creating fruit Where the juice leaks onto my hands and down my arms  I won’t give in to nostalgia  I will have remnants of you Bringing them up out of me uncontrollably  Forever even though your diminished personality has left me for good  far away from home there is a waterless land filled with cacti, sucking dry the energy and hope of the youth.

father John

Everytime I preach I miss you I am screaming out my lungs  For my father to come back

antediluvian

Tear me apart and find my hiding spot  Make me understand why this blood   Won't wash off my hands, you preach  I listen, you screeching, you call preaching You wait to inhale me, I stay where I am I don't scream, the blood rushes through You find me when I'm at my most sinful Saying that only God can save me   Doesnt mean he will.

Eden

In a universe this vast there is a moon that we exist under  Our love for each other didn't become stale like her craters  There is a star somewhere out there for us,  I would pray, under the Mississippi moon every night At the alter I will live If that means that we can go To that place  That is not home to anyone but us.

Crime of Passion

With your blood on my hands I clasp them together with my fingers sore my knees skinned  my heart torn I bow my head  blood and all I pray for my love  who happens to be you  Once again I have proven  that my love will always last Even if that means you don't

Navigate through a beautiful world,  and let it ask, Do you envy me? The knowledge that you will never have what you desire so badly. Run after what will never be yours. Ache in the morning from the soreness of it.  Find yourself scheming for something you think you deserve. Fourth does your heart have to travel despite Despite being hungry for more, when only having so little.
